It is that time of year again! Miltons Matsemela (despite the challenges of Covid19) continue to contribute to the MILES FOR SMILES Organisation. Last year was the incredibly successful Miles for Masks virtual run!
This year, David Grier (the Miles for Smiles Ambassador together with Andy Stuart, Jean Van Lierop) will be running from the Namibian Border (starting 10 September) to Table Mountain, along Africa’s Diamond Coast, whilst donning his VELDSKOEN! Every year, we host an event to create awareness and raise funds.

Ubunye Educare Centre
Ubunye Educare Centre in Du Noon started their feeding program with Peninsula School Feeding Association on the 3rd of May 2016. Apart from the food items, the school also received items such as pots, cutlery, plates, spoons, cutting boards, gas, etc.
Ester Cupido (Principal of Ubunye Educare Centre) wrote:
“This has really been a blessing to the school. From all of us at Ubunye Educare Centre we wish to greatly thank MM for opening this door for us. We are now sure that the children will receive a balanced and healthy meal.”
On the occasion of Mandela Day 2025, we witnessed the profound impact of community spirit when our directors and staff generously donated essential items to support Huis Zonnekus. This retirement facility, which has been a beacon of hope and care since its founding in 1974, provides various types of accommodation, including independent living, assisted living, frail care, and a specialized section for residents suffering from dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.
