Corlize was born in South Africa and shortly thereafter moved to Zimbabwe where she grew up and started school. She completed a Communication’s Degree at the Northwest University after having moved back and started working as a journalist and media liaison officer at the South African National Defence Force Head Quarters.

She held various corporate management roles in the Private Sector in Fibre Optics and Telecommunications both in Gauteng and the Western Cape before relocating to Botswana in 2005 to join in relief and community development. She has travelled extensively in pursuit of best practice development models and have lived in the Middle East and the USA.

Her keen sense of adventure and love for the bush has assisted her to found various companies in the agricultural and tourism sectors in Botswana. She recently returned to Somerset West where she had lived before to pursue another passion of hers, namely property.

Her role as PRO for the Helderberg and Overberg regions gives her the opportunity to combine this love for property with her love for people, travel and the endless potential of living a life in answer to Mary Oliver’s question: “Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?”
